Dance is the art of human movement, a way to express ideas, thoughts, and emotions through the body. In this class, we’ll explore the fundamental building blocks of dance: time, space, and force. We’ll start with familiar movements like walking, sliding, and weight shifting, using them to transition our bodies from one place to another. We’ll also discover the power of stillness, learning how to create dynamic shapes and forms around the body’s axis. As we rise, sink, and stretch, you'll gradually build core strength, coordination, and flexibility.
