The Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Association is committed to honoring our community’s history & heritage.
It takes an increasingly large amount of money to be able to hold our signature events:
- Peace Treaty Pageant
- Intertribal Powwow
- Kansas Championship Ranch Rodeo
- Buckapalooza Rodeo
- Youth Ranch Rodeo
- Historical Night Show
...as well as keep up our historic props, costumes and equipment and maintain our facilities at Memorial Peace Park.

Longhorn Herd

The "cattle drive" scene features a magnificent herd of longhorns. To ensure the safety of the spectators and all involved, it is a justified expense to rent a herd of very tame longhorns for the weekend. Your help with this expense is needed and appreciated!

Amphitheater Backdrop Trees

Drought and disease claim the lives of some of the trees that make up the backdrop of the Amphitheater at Memorial Peace Park. These trees provide a natural background for the pageant and are the visual shield between the amphitheater and the powwow grounds. Your donation will help with tree planting and maintenance.

Picnic Table at Memorial Peace Park

Made by Becker Manufacturing, these sturdy steel picnic tables are welcome resting spots for visitors to Memorial Peace Park. We are always anxious to add more! They are located at the main three venues: Amphitheater, Powwow Grounds and Rodeo Arena. We welcome your sponsorship of a picnic table.

A powwow is a valuable glimpse into the cultural heritage of our nation's Native people. The Medicine Lodge Intertribal Powwow is open to any tribal member and produced by Peace Treaty's powwow committee volunteers. Please consider helping support this worthy event with your donation!

Mountain Man Encampment

A special addition to our September event is the Mountain Man Encampment, hosted in a rugged, natural environment at Memorial Peace Park. Consider donating to help support the encampment as well as maintenance of the site.
