This concert represents a powerful collaboration between TCGMC, the acclaimed James Sewell Ballet, Minnesota Valley Women's Chorus and See Change Treble Choir. At the heart of This is Me, we proudly unveil our latest commission, "Every BODY." This significant work is being crafted by a talented team of composers, including Kyle Pederson, Melissa Dunphy, Sharon Udoh, Britney Boykin, and our own artistic director, Dr. Gerald Gurss. Renowned for our remarkable commissions during GALA Choruses Festival years, TCGMC continues this tradition in 2024, as we host the forthcoming quadrennial festival in our backyard. This extraordinary event will unite 8,000 singers from across the globe in the vibrant center of the Twin Cities! While "Every BODY" will also grace the stage at a special concert in Orchestra Hall during the 2024 GALA Choruses Festival, you won't want to miss its inaugural performance right here with us at one of the most exceptional venues for choral artistry in the Twin Cities. Special Guests: James Sewell Ballet, founded by James Sewell in 1990, is a dynamic and innovative contemporary ballet company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Renowned for its artistic excellence and boundary-pushing performances, the company seamlessly blends classical technique with modern choreography, captivating audiences worldwide. The Minnesota Valley Women’s Chorale, is a community treble choir founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Judy Sagen. This intergenerational choir honors the tradition of performing quality choral music that centers on a community that sings together and introduces audiences to the power and beauty of the treble repertoire.  Diverse in culture, religion, age, race, belief, gender, and sexual identity, they are committed to commissioning new choral works and raising awareness about global issues.  Through music, they aim to create a world that affirms the worth and dignity of every person.  See Change Treble Choir, founded in 2018, is an inspiring ensemble with the mission of celebrating and sharing women's artistry and strength through song, collaboration, and community. Please print your e-ticket with the QR to show at the door, or have it ready to show on your phone. Three days prior to the concert we will send you a follow up with a link to your e-ticket. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact us! The concert venue is located in the Sanctuary building of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. As you enter the church campus from Stillwater Road, stay to the right and then continue up the hill to Sanctuary Door 1. Enter under the "Welcome" sign at Door 1.   Please note there is a road construction project taking place on County Highway 12/Stillwater Road in front of St. Andrew's this summer. The best way to access the church campus is via Hilton Trail northbound from State Highway 36. We encourage you to allow for additional time to arrive for the event.
