FA Connect California provides Community Health Worker training and certification pathways for both new and experienced community-service professionals. Our 80-Hour Foundational CHW Course is designed for individuals entering the CHW field and organizations developing their workforce, while our 40-Hour Experienced Workforce Course is designed for experienced CHWs and professionals in related community-service roles who are building on existing experience.Both programs provide practical training in communication, relationship building, outreach, advocacy, health navigation, resource connections, health education, individual and community assessment, public health, social drivers of health, professional boundaries, documentation, evaluation, and applied practice. Training includes instruction, assessments, supervised field activities, and a certificate upon successful completion.Together, the programs create a flexible workforce-development pathway that allows FA Connect to train and certify individuals at different levels of experience while helping community organizations build stronger, better-prepared CHW teams.
