The Weekend Lunch Buddy Program is designed to address food insecurity for students in the Lucia Mar Unified School District. Pack the lunch bags so they sit up straight (#12 bags work best)2. Fill them &frac34; full, fold the top over twice, then staple tops&nbsp;3. Feel free to decorate the bags with stickers Please do your best to fill the bag with healthier foods items, occasional treats are fine. &nbsp;Here are some suggestions: 1. Include at least one protein: canned tuna, canned chicken, peanut butter, chili, hearty soups, mac and cheese, or spaghettios.&nbsp;2. Include a ramen packet or cup of noodles3. A fruit: applesauce, fruit cup, raisins, or juice&nbsp;4. A cereal (oatmeal packet or individual cold cereal)5. A granola bar, trail mix or nut packets6. Something extra - a sweet, chips, goldfish crackers, Ritz Bitz, etc...) Please do not open large containers of food and repack smaller bags.
