New This Season: Chef-Led Union Square Market Tours Join Slow Food NYC this summer and early fall for a new series of guided tours through the iconic Union Square Greenmarket, led by some of New York City&#39;s most celebrated chefs (and Snail of Approval Awardees!). Each tour is a chance to see how the market works from a chef&#39;s perspective. You&#39;ll get to chat with the farmers and producers, hear how they grow and make what they sell, grab some seasonal tastings, and learn how chefs find inspiration for their menus right from the stands. Whether you&rsquo;re a regular market shopper, a home cook looking for new ideas, or just interested in how NYC&#39;s local food system works, these small-group tours offer a fresh look at the market alongside the people who know it best. Come out to taste what&#39;s in season, meet the people who grow your food, and celebrate our local food community.
