Join the Newaygo Conservation District and MSU Extension for an engaging Farming Field Day from 8AM-2PM on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at Kropscott Farm Environmental Center, 6523 W Baseline Rd, Fremont, MI 49412!&nbsp; With such a diversity in commodities grown and produced, we&rsquo;re offering a wide range of education sessions and in-the-field learning including: common NRCS programs and projects in the county, including information on the pest management conservation system, pest management in field crops and how to use sweep nets and pest monitoring traps, irrigation and chemigation considerations and water savings, as well as pasture and grazing management and how to use grazing sticks, with demo in a silvopasture.&nbsp; Light breakfast refreshments and coffee will be available and lunch will be provided. During lunch attendees will have the opportunity to network and visit booths from local ag businesses, Newaygo CD programs, USDA FSA, Farm Bureau, and MSUE. 3 - 1A, Comm CORE, Priv CORE, RUP credits and CCA credits will be available. This is also a MAEAP Phase 1 Educational Event.&nbsp;
