CyberPatriot CyberCamp is the perfect way to get introduced to the world of cybersecurity for youth! Many students who attend a standard CyberPatriot CyberCamp go on to participate in CyberPatriot's National Youth Cyber Defense Competition during the school year. Standard Camp: July 29 to August 2, 2024

Advanced Camp: August 5 to August 9, 2024

Time: 9am to 3pm (PDT)

Lunch break (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur): 11:30am to 12:15pm (PDT)

Lunch break (Friday): 12:30pm to 1:15pm (PDT)

Standard Camp: $350 by April 30th ($450 starting May 1st)

Advanced Camp: $450 by April 30th ($600 starting May 1st)

Both Camps: $750 by April 30th ($1,000 starting May 1st)

Online VMs access: Extra $50 per week (limited supply) (It is recommended to run VMs on your own computer. Online VMs are only for those who really could not get a computer to run the VMs locally.)

Hardware requirement:

Online VMs

It is recommended to run VMs on your own computer. Online VMs are only for those who really could not get a computer to run the VMs locally. Any computer that can visit website and get onto zoom can work with this option. However, we have limited Online VMs available.

Local Installed VMs (Recommended)

Intel computers with internet connection, and at least 16GB of memory (RAM) and 100GB free SSD harddrive space. AMD computers should work fine.

(Costco has qualified laptop at $700 and up.)

However, Apple M series computer cannot run local VMs. If you only have Apple computer, you can try register with the Online VMs.

Age requirement:
Middle school and high school students preferred.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Standard CyberCamp attendees do not need to have any prior knowledge of cybersecurity to participate. Some very basic knowledge of computer hardware and software (knowing how to use a mouse, browse the internet, identify common computer icons, etc.) is helpful but not necessary.

Advanced CyberCamp attendees must possess some prior knowledge. Most of the Advanced curriculum builds on material covered by our Standard camp and also draws from the activities/tasks in the CyberPatriot competition. Prior exposure to CyberPatriot or similar skill levels are recommended.

A basic English reading level is essential for both as many individual and group activities are written directives and students must work alone or within small groups to accomplish tasks.

Instructors:
Xinle Yang and Pei Zhang are coaches of 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024 CyberPatriot 1st place Oregon Champion team TitanTurtles. During 2023-2024 season, team TitanTurtles advanced to CyberPatriot National Final and won rrank #4 overall in Open Division. The coaches also have 6 years of experiences coaching FIRST Lego League Robotics teams, and won several 1st place Oregon Champions.
