The women of 18th Century really knew how to host elegant and stimulating salon events. This concert features repertoire written for these lovely events, including cantatas by Nicolas Bernier and Michel Pignolet de Montéclair. Also on the program is the celebrated Sonnerie de Sainte Genevieve du Mont de Paris by Marin Marias, and Andrus Madsen will play a harpsichord suite consisting of improvised character pieces in the tradition of the French Clavicinists and the Chaconne Favorite by François Couperin.
