FEBRUARY C/C SPARRING / ROLLING 🥊 C/C Sparring is an open-mat, open-sparring session bringing women together from different gyms, disciplines, skill levels, and training backgrounds to work, learn, and grow together in a controlled and respectful environment. All disciplines and skill levels are welcome. Sparring experience is recommended. Come with an open mind and a willingness to work with new training partners, learn from more experienced women, and support those who may have less experience. 🥊 REQUIRED PROTECTIVE GEAR &bull; 16 oz gloves &bull; Mouthguard &bull; Muay Thai-style shin guards &mdash; no cloth shin guards &bull; Headgear &mdash; please bring it just in caseProtective gear is required to participate. COMMUNICATION IS KEY. Everyone comes from different gyms, coaching styles, disciplines, levels, and backgrounds. Communicate with your partner before and during rounds. Respect differences in experience, pace, intensity, boundaries, and comfort level. This is a space to get better together &mdash; not to prove who is better. 💫 COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITIONThese events are about creating opportunities for women to train with women they may not normally get the chance to work with. Show up ready to learn, challenge yourself, support your partners, and leave better than you came. Donations to the Community Over Competition Foundation are encouraged and greatly appreciated, but are never required to participate. 📌 BEFORE ATTENDING Please read our C/C Sparring Guidelines posted on our Instagram page. All participants are also expected to follow the rules and safety requirements of the hosting gym. RELEASE OF LIABILITY By registering for or participating in a C/C Sparring event, you acknowledge that martial arts, sparring, rolling, and related activities involve inherent risks, including serious injury, permanent disability, property loss, or death. You voluntarily assume the risks associated with participation and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, agree to release and hold harmless Community Over Competition Foundation, the host gym, and their respective representatives from claims or losses arising from your participation. Please note: The hosting gym may require an additional waiver or release of liability to be reviewed and signed before participation.
