Danbury Unites for Immigrants (DUFI) is a collective of local immigrant community leaders and allies who are committed to working together to build the power of and to protect Danbury&rsquo;s immigrant community. They&rsquo;ve been getting the work done - hosting Know Your Rights Workshops and doing community outreach, alerting our community of ICE presence, building networks of support for immigrant families, and directly supporting families who have been impacted by ICE abductions. We invite you to a way you can directly support this work.&nbsp; Kathy Hayes-Bloch LCSW, is a seasoned psychotherapist who has accompanied many people on their healing journeys over the past 20 years. &nbsp;She received her MSW at New York University and is an active member of Psychology Today, and consults with hospitals, schools and agencies, conducting workshops, lectures, and professional training. You can learn more about her work at: https://www.kathyhayesblochlcsw.com/&nbsp; Finding Courage in Difficult Times is an introductory meditation skills and visualizations class to help students tap into a brave space inside of themselves, enabling them to find resilience, purpose and right action in times of difficulty. There are many benefits to meditation. It can improve your mental health, increase your concentration, and increase your ability to handle stress. It has even been shown to lower high blood pressure and reduce cortisol levels (a stress hormone) in the body. Please RSVP to receive the zoom link for the meditation space.
