Text announcing a "Fireside Conversations" event with Mollie Byrne is layered over a spooky background featuring a large yellow moon, silhouettes of bare tree branches, and spiders.

Join us for Fireside Conversations: An evening of stories, science & conversation with authors, naturalists, conservationists, gardeners, photographers, & others who inspire a deeper connection to the natural world. Have you ever been curious about bats, their biology as the only flying mammals in the world, and why you may not see as many as you used to? Get the scoop from Mollie Byrne, a Wildlife Technician from the PA Game Commission who works behind the scenes (and underground) to study, monitor, and bring back this misunderstood group of mammals. Mollie Byrne is a Somerset County native who graduated from Saint Francis University in 2020 with a self- designed B.S. in Wildlife Biology. She has been working for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 6 years on a variety of projects, but her primary focus is on hibernating bats and White-nose syndrome.
