Step into the world of the Bond Street Neighborhood, where women helped shaped the community and, in many cases, the course of history itself. You’ll hear about the resourceful boarding house manager who kept the city running, the dedicated shopkeeper whose store brimmed with life, the visionary artists and daring publisher who challenged convention, and many others who expanded the very idea of what was possible. As the tour winds through the neighborhood, you’ll discover traces of their legacy still standing today—from New York City’s first lending library to a pioneering animal hospital—both founded by extraordinary women who were far ahead of their time. This is more than a guided tour; it is a journey through stories too often overlooked, offering a new perspective on the women who helped define the Bond Street Neighborhood. Come ready to be inspired by voices once lost to time, now heard again where they first made history.
