Blending whimsy with wisdom, Sandi shares how a walk through nature--paired with a warm cup of tea--can awaken your senses, spark curiosity, and deepen your connection to the natural world. It's a refreshing reminder that even small moments can nourish the spirit and inspire a more thoughtful, sustainable way of living.
Our workshop will begin with an introduction to tea, and will highlight Yaupon, North American's only native caffeinated plant. Well then acknowledge the importance pollinators play in sustaining the plants we enjoy in our cups.
We will then segue to our Garden Sensory Walk as we use our sense of smell and touch to identify common herbs used in tea. We'll examine how cultivating diverse pollinator friendly gardens supports both human wellness and the thriving ecosystems our winged friends depend on.
We'll then conclude our workshop the making and tasting of a warm, fragrant Indian Chai Tea. At the Create Your Own Tea Station you'll have a chance to craft a personalized herbal infusion to take home — along with tastings of several herbs featured during the stroll.
