Blending whimsy with wisdom, Sandi shares how a walk through nature--paired with a warm cup of tea--can awaken your senses, spark curiosity, and deepen your connection to the natural world. It's a refreshing reminder that even small moments can nourish the spirit and inspire a more thoughtful, sustainable way of living.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to tea, featuring yaupon, North America's only native caffeinated plant. We'll explore its history and significance while recognizing the vital role pollinators play in sustaining many of the plants we enjoy in our daily cups.
From there, we'll embark on a guided Garden Sensory Walk, using our senses of smell and touch to identify common herbs used in tea. Along the way, we'll discover how cultivating diverse, pollinator-friendly gardens supports both human wellness and the thriving ecosystems that butterflies, bees, and other pollinators depend upon.
We'll conclude our workshop by preparing and tasting a warm, fragrant Indian chai tea. At our Create-Your-Own Tea Station, you'll have the opportunity to craft a personalized herbal tea blend to take home while also sampling several of the herbs featured during the educational tea stroll.
