&nbsp;A collaborative performance experience for young artists ages 9&ndash;18 Join Community Stages this fall as we bring A Christmas Wizard of Oz, adapted by&nbsp;Kathryn Schultz Miller, to life through rehearsal, creativity, and performance. Designed for performers of all experience levels, Trunk &amp; Trek Troupe invites young artists to experience the complete theatrical process&mdash;from the first table read through community performances&mdash;while building skills in acting, singing, movement, storytelling, and ensemble work. Whether this is your first production or your fifteenth, every student is encouraged to grow as an artist, collaborator, and confident performer. --- About the Production A Christmas Wizard of Oz is a clever holiday adaptation of L. Frank Baum&#39;s beloved classic. Filled with familiar characters, heart, humor, and a touch of holiday magic, Dorothy&#39;s journey reminds us that there truly is no place like home. Created with imagination and flexibility at its center, this adaptation offers meaningful opportunities for performers of all experience levels. Musical numbers and staging will be shaped around the strengths of this year&#39;s ensemble, allowing every performer to shine while creating a production that is uniquely our own. --- Auditions &amp; Character Workshop No audition is required to register. Our first rehearsal will include an&nbsp;Audition &amp; Character Workshop, where students will explore audition techniques, theatre etiquette, and character development in a fun, supportive environment. At the following rehearsal, any student interested in being considered for a featured or lead role may participate in an optional audition. Every registered performer will be cast in the production, regardless of whether they choose to audition for a lead. --- Rehearsal Schedule Tuesdays &amp; Thursdays 6:00&ndash;8:00 PM September 22 through early December **No rehearsals Thanksgiving week.** As the production develops, not every performer will be called for every rehearsal. Whenever possible, rehearsal schedules will be organized by scenes and musical numbers to make the best use of everyone&#39;s time while respecting busy family schedules. --- Community Performances Our touring production will be presented at community venues throughout Marion County during the first two weeks of December through partnerships with local organizations.
