Named for Justice Albie Sachs, the anti-apartheid activist and former Constitutional Court justice whose courage and moral clarity embody the values this Gala celebrates. As our highest level of partnership, the Albie Circle stands at the summit of our recognition, honoring those whose leadership most powerfully advances the cause of justice.
Named in honor of George Bizos, the legendary human rights lawyer who defended Nelson Mandela at the Rivonia Trial and later served as Senior Counsel in the LRC's Constitutional Litigation Unit. His lifelong fight for human rights helped shape the LRC's founding mission, making this a premier level of partnership and recognition.
Named for the ideal at the heart of everything the Legal Resources Centre does, the Justice Circle recognizes organizations whose leadership demonstrates a deep and enduring commitment to human rights and the rule of law.
Named for the advocates who stand and speak for those whose voices too often go unheard, this level celebrates partners who stand alongside the LRC in protecting constitutional rights and advancing justice for vulnerable communities.
Named for the vital role of safeguarding rights and freedoms, the Guardian Circle honors supporters who help protect the constitutional protections the LRC has fought to secure and preserve.
Named for Arthur Chaskalson, a founder of the Legal Resources Centre in 1979 and the first President of South Africa's Constitutional Court. A defender of Nelson Mandela at the Rivonia Trial, he devoted his life to using the law to challenge injustice and build a constitutional democracy. This level honors his enduring legacy and welcomes partners who help carry that founding mission forward.

Join us in celebrating the Legal Resources Centre's ongoing work and standing together to safeguard access to justice for all.
The Champions of Justice Gala on September 19, 2026 brings together a distinguished community of supporters to celebrate the rule of law and honor the extraordinary legacy of Justice Albie Sachs. Individual tickets to the evening are $1,000, but we never want cost to keep the right people out of the room.
We believe the public-interest lawyers, human rights advocates, nonprofit leaders, academics, and law students who carry this mission forward every day deserve a place at this celebration, whether or not a $1,000 ticket is within reach.
That's why we're offering a pay-what-you-can option for deserving guests. If you are committed to the work of justice but the full ticket price is a barrier, we invite you to contribute whatever you are able.
Seating is limited, so a contribution does not guarantee a place, but we'll add your name to our waiting list and confirm availability closer to the event date. If we're unable to offer you a seat, you're welcome to have your contribution refunded or to let it stand as a tax-deductible gift in support of the LRC's work.
Every ticket underwritten by our sponsors and every contribution given in this spirit extends the reach of the Legal Resources Centre's mission and helps ensure that the people building the future of human rights law are in the room, inspired and connected.
