Sunday April 27th 10 am – 4 pm
Serving through PLAY in a Living Systems Paradigm.
Join us for this full day workshop with visiting insructor S. Embla all the way from Norway!
Learn about PLAY technology for cultivating deep fun as a way to continue emerging within ourselves and our cultures. Through the lens of clown, bouffon, and ritual, we will use play to disrupt our typical ways of seeing the world in order to re-think our creativity. This workshop will include games and exercises designed to get participants out of their own heads and break down what is standing in their own way of creativity and playfulness.
Participants will draw upon motifs we see in nature through exercises that are inspired by the flora and fauna we are surrounded by each day.
S. Embla: Born in Norway. Has played in dozens of countries. Over 3 decades of experience as a player in theatrical landscapes. Specifically focused on Bouffon and Clowning, which she sees as instruments to reveal core human patterns that restrain us from becoming who we need to be as a species in a thriving ecosystem. Connecting to patterns of indigenous wisdom through outrageous stupidity and awe.
She has particularly been playing with health care clowning in hospitals, refugee camps, with people with dementia and now evolving this practice towards bringing in the Village Fools as an essential value adding societal role.
Founder of Norwegian District Clowns; FUNkey FUNgi Field, a global platform for developing regenerative media content creators; and Northern Seas Thriving serving regenerative development of culture communities and places.
