Step into the Forbes House Museum after dark for a spooky evening of Gothic Victorian tales. This theatrical adaptation features a trio of eerie 19th-century stories by celebrated New England author Sarah Orne Jewett, whose regional fiction evokes a world where everyday life brushes against the mysterious and uncanny. Set in rural New England and performed by professional storyteller Rita Parisi in period costume by electrical candlelight, these &ldquo;weird tales&rdquo; offer suspense, atmosphere, and a glimpse into the Victorian fascination with curses, death, and immortality.
