Grandparenting Basics Refreshed for Today

This presentation is intended to update current or soon-to-be grandparents or caregivers on the latest information on infant care, age-appropriate behavior management as the child ages, and basic first aid skills to make sure the caregiver can take advantage of &nbsp;current knowledge on:&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Safe sleep practices and current guidance for infants&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Feeding basics, allergies, and choking prevention&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Childproofing the home and preventing common injuries&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Handling minor illnesses, fevers, and when to call a parent or doctor&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Managing tantrums, screen time, and age-appropriate activities&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Basic first aid and what to do in an emergency&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Working as a team with the parents on routines and expectations.The presentation will be given by a representative of Mindful Beginnings, a local organization dedicated to upgrading the knowledge and practice of caregivers. &nbsp;The company is staffed by certified teachers, registered nurses, and experienced youth-program leaders.The presentation will be provided in the Davis Library meeting room, which is located on the lower level at the bottom of the stairs.&nbsp;
