This vibrant collaborative piece was created by the students of Ms. Abrams’ 3rd grade class as part of a multicultural art celebration. Each square showcases vibrant imagery inspired by global traditions – from Vietnamese folk art and Ukrainian Pysanky egg designs to Italian Sicilian tile motifs and ancient Celtic knotwork.
Students explored not only textile patterns but also symbolic art forms from around the world, weaving together a rich tapestry of culture, creativity, and connection.
Mounted on painted dark wood and detailed with stitched accents to evoke a quilted feel, the finished piece celebrates individuality while honoring unity. Sealed and ready for display, this one-of-a-kind artwork is a joyful tribute to heritage, imagination, and the beauty of global traditions.
