Green Citizen micro-learning stimulates important beginner-level conversations about sustainability.&nbsp; This month, we present the topic &quot;Beyond the Lawn: Ecoscaping&quot;. Sustainable landscaping balances aesthetic appeal with environmental responsibility. Traditional turf grass lawns and hardscaping materials dominate the market and ecoscaping comprises less than 10% of residential and commercial landscaping. Practices like permaculture, xeriscaping and native gardening create self-sustaining, biodiverse ecosystems that work with nature rather than against it.&nbsp; The session includes a presentation by youth moderators Shreya Madhu and Nimisha Choudhary, and, an interview with experts Paulette Platko and Mary Abercrombie.
