Your participation is not only a chance to win a beautiful quilt, but also plays a vital role in supporting our mission to benefit and educate all interested persons in learning about the &quot;art&quot; of quilting. &nbsp;We do this through teaching the techniques of sewing and quilting, frequent meetings, sponsoring workshops, exhibits, and quilt shows. Each ticket you purchase directly contributes to our efforts in making a meaningful impact in our community. 🎟️ About the quilt:&ldquo;My North Carolina&rdquo; was designed by Alice W Potter and amended to include the Flying Geese sashing and sea turtle appliques to increase the final quilt to queen size. The quilt tells the history of our state with applique blocks detailing locations and historical events. It combines those pictorial pieces with traditional blocks and is anchored by a center block showing the state of North Carolina. The pattern was created by Alice W. Potter and she graciously granted permission for us to use her pattern for our raffle quilt. It is a beautiful representation of traditional piecing, applique and hand quilting. The fabrics were chosen from our guild stash and augmented with guild member&rsquo;s personal collections. Our intent was to create a beautiful quilt with fabric we already owned. It was hand quilted for over 320 hours until finished.&nbsp; Thank you for your support. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference. ✨
