Davis’s music  draws from a wide variety of sound sources, including guitar, field recordings, various world/ ethnic/traditional instruments, percussion, voice, modular synth, sampling and computer  music, with an emphasis on processed sounds. drone / ambient / minimalism / free  improvisation / abstraction / songs / rhythms / generative / systems / composition are  continuing threads explored throughout his music. From 1994-1999, Davis studied classical &amp;  jazz guitar alongside composition at DePaul University in Chicago. He moved to Boston in  1999 to pursue a Master's degree in composition at the New England Conservatory while  independently studying electronic music (Max/MSP in particular). Since 2000, he has played  shows all over the world, collaborating with Keith Fullerton Whitman, Ben Vida, Sebastien  Roux, Chris Weisman, Steven Hess, Jeph Jerman, Akron/Family, Toby Aronson (as  Harmonizer), Zach Wallace (as Sun Circle) and many more. In 2004, Davis left Chicago for  Burlington, Vermont, where he currently lives and continues to make music &amp; organize  experimental / creative music concerts regularly. Davis owns &amp; operates Autumn Records, a  record store located in Winooski, Vermont which he opened in 2017. He also curates Outer  Sounds, an experimental vinyl record subscription service. His latest releases are lush ambient  music: Full Spectrum 3/7 cassette/digital on his own Autumn Records label and blue fifty-threecassette/digital (Full Spectrum 5/6) on Blue Tapes UK.
