We are the Grunion Rugby Football Club, Santa Barbara's rugby club since 1978. As we build toward our 50th year as a club, we're doing something a little different for the 2027 season. We want to create a one-of-a-kind jersey that truly captures our community by creating a tile mosaic of the local businesses and people who back the Grunion, but we need your help. Each tile will represent a supporter and together form the Santa Barbara landscape. It's a little piece of you, a little piece of Santa Barbara, and a lot of rugby. Like a wearable community directory...only muddier. A tile is $100, with bundles available (more tiles = more representation): 2 tiles — $175 4 tiles — $325 6 tiles — $450 8 tiles — $550 10 tiles — $650 (best value) If you'd like to wear this piece of history or hang it on your wall you can add a match-day jersey for $150 (pick your size at checkout). Wear it, frame it, hang it in the garage, we're not in charge of interior decorating. Ordering three or more jerseys? Reach out for bulk pricing. Your name will appear on our jersey throughout the 2026-2027 season. That means it'll be running around our home field of Elings Park (250,000+ people yearly) every week, and making regular Thursday and Saturday night appearances at our social sponsor, Sharkeez, on some very large Mermen and Merwomen. Rugby is on the upswing! With the World Cup headed to the U.S., our 50th anniversary approaching, and the Grunion pushing for a nationals run, this is your chance to get in on the excitement early. We'd like you to be part of that run with us! Claim your Grunion jersey tiles and any add-ons below, then just reply to our message (or email grunionrugby@gmail.com) with exactly how you'd like your name to appear (a family name, a nickname, “in memory of,” or a logo/image if you have one) and we'll get you onto the jersey! No scrummaging required.
