Gabriel Diaz, the Southern California Lyon & Healy/Salvi harp tech, will be in town to provide regulations for our community, and will wrap up his visit with a workshop for SDHS members. What do we mean by "Regulation?" Gabriel will discuss noises, pitch, and esthetics that are addressed when regulating a harp.
Which strings to use: Nylon vs Gut
When you need a repair,,,, road repairs vs shop repairs.
Harp Structure/Posture: What it tells us about the life expectancy of the harp.
Mechanism: Action (discs, links, arms, rivets), Rods (tubing assembly), Pedals (springs, couplings, fulcrums, felts, caps).
