The "Health & Healing Day" is a one-of-a-kind health, wellness, and empowerment experience designed to uplift, educate, and equip caregivers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and women from all walks of life. Through a holistic approach that addresses the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical dimensions of self-care, this conference is dedicated to promoting resilience, preventing burnout, and strengthening healthier families and communities.

The day will feature our Beat The Burnout Caregiver Vendor Fair, Community Lunch & Learn, Health and Wellness, and educational presentations.

Featured presenters include:

Dr. DeLon Canterbury, PharmD, BCGP, President and CEO of GeriatRx, Inc., presenting Medication Management for You and Your Family

James Kappelman, local senior-care expert and co-owner of Senior Care Authority of Central North Carolina, presenting Dementia: “Driving Under the Influence”

Participants will receive practical guidance on medication safety, deprescribing, preventing harmful drug interactions, organizing medications, communicating with healthcare providers, and supporting loved ones living with dementia.
Continuing education credit will be offered for nurses and social workers through the Senior Care Authority of Central North Carolina, which will present Dementia: “Driving Under the Influence.” Other professionals may receive a Certificate of Completion, with additional recognition available for certain credentials, including CCM, CSA, and CDP.
