Homeschool PE Class (Dodgeball)

Homeschool Dodgeball (click for details)Join us for an hour of active, high-energy homeschool dodgeball! This is a fun opportunity for kids to move their bodies, build friendships, practice teamwork, and enjoy a positive group activity with other homeschoolers. Dodgeball is more than just a game&mdash;it helps children develop coordination, agility, balance, quick decision-making, sportsmanship, communication, and confidence. Kids will have opportunities to run, throw, dodge, work together, and learn how to handle both wins and losses in a supportive environment. It is a great way to add movement, social connection, and PE-style activity to the homeschool week. Time and LocationPinehurst West Park: 12:00&ndash;1:00 PM (optional- free park play before dodgeball)Dodgeball: 1:15pm-3:15pm Meeting location: North entrance of Emmanuel Baptist Church.&nbsp;The church is locked for security. If you need let in call Bri 913-272-8784.&nbsp; The church is a short walk from Pinehurst West Park, where our group meets before dodgeball. If your family attends the park gathering beforehand, you may want to park on the south triangle of the parking lot and then drive farther up the parking lot to the North entrance of Emmanuel Baptist Church for dodgeball. You are also welcome to come directly to dodgeball and park near the North entrance. *If you go to the park and your kid is the type to HAVE to get wet in the creek I suggest a towel and a change of clothes before dodgeball. We will not allow muddy shoes in the gym.&nbsp; Suggested DonationYour donation helps make this activity possible by contributing to the use of the indoor space, paying our PE teacher and the ongoing wear, replacement, and care of dodgeballs and other equipment. It also helps us continue providing accessible, active community opportunities for homeschool families. Donations are tax-deductible we are a 501c3 nonprofit.&nbsp; If your family uses OpenEd, this activity may also be eligible for reimbursement as a PE expense; please check your OpenEd account requirements and submit your receipt as needed.
