Inspire creativity and growth this spring with Windmore Foundation for the Arts’ Homeschool Theatre Program! Running from March 3rd to May 3rd, this beloved program offers exciting and educational experiences tailored to elementary, middle, and high school students. Each group will explore unique themes and skills, culminating in a live performance at the historic State Theater!<hr />Program Details:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Elementary (Grades 3-5): Explore the works of Shakespeare! Students will engage with age-appropriate scenes, develop creative storytelling skills, and bring Shakespeare's timeless works to life through fun, interactive activities.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Middle School (Grades 6-8): Discover the richness of folklore and fairytales! Through improvisation, scene work, and storytelling exercises, students will reimagine classic tales from around the world while building essential acting techniques.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">High School (Grades 9-12): Advance your theatre skills! This class will focus on acting methods such as scene study and character development, along with an introduction to directing. Students will have the opportunity to lead scenes and explore the fundamentals of stage direction.</li></ul><hr />Performance: All classes will culminate in a live performance at the State Theater of Culpeper, where students will showcase their hard work and creativity in front of family, friends, and the community.Instructors: This season, we are thrilled to feature two accomplished instructors:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Tara Moylan, a veteran actor, instructor, and local business owner, will guide students in developing their acting skills and confidence on stage.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Natasha Parnian, owner of Dark Horse Theatre Company, will teach middle and high school students. With extensive experience both on and off the stage, Natasha is passionate about helping young performers reach their full potential.</li></ul><hr />Program Cost: $30 per student.
