Our mission at the Hooks and Books club is to provide a safe space for teen girls to explore the art of crochet, discuss a book every month, and create lifelong friends.&nbsp; Every month, members will read and discuss a book together that discusses culture/history in order to connect through different culture and discuss diverse perspectives and views on each book&rsquo;s message. In addition, every week we will hold our crochet session to teach both girls of all levels the art of crochet, and how it can be used both as a passion and as a way to relax. Fees will cover materials for the crochet, and proceeds will be used as scholarship for refugee youths joining the club.
