Please join us for the next HR Lounge where we will explore what it means to lead in a digitally distracted workplace. You wake up and check your phone. 8 out of 10 people do. Email followed by an Instagram scroll and maybe a news headline. For years, poor digital habits were treated as a "kids-only" issue for schools and parents to manage. That’s changing as the research evolves. Professionals can’t inspire or lead a team when their own attention is fractured. This session explores how habits like doomscrolling affect productivity, empathy, and the ability to learn. It also shows how addressing digital overwhelm works as both a wellness strategy and a performance lever, especially as organizations adopt AI-based tools. Key Takeaways:

Understand the research behind how AI tools, notifications, and other digital inputs (ahem, social media) fragment attention and chip away at judgment, learning, and empathy.

Get introduced to the Digital Wellness Trampoline as a practical framework for behavior change.

Leave with at least one immediately implementable intervention to shape your own digital habits.

Speaker Riz Vazir Riz Vazir is a former Director of Business Strategy at Microsoft and Senior Delivery Lead at Aon who founded Scroll By Choice to address the attention crisis he saw from inside the tech industry. He holds an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, is a Prosci-Certified Change Management Practitioner, and partners with the Boston Children's Hospital Digital Wellness Lab. He speaks and consults on doomscrolling, workplace attention, AI readiness, and phone-free schools. HR practitioners only. Vendors and non-HR professionals, please sit this one out.Seats are limited. Reserve your spot now.
