Our Pavilion, Our Story.Join us to celebrate 65 years of friendship between Houston and Taipei, and help preserve a treasured symbol of that bond. A gift from Taipei, Houston’s first sister city, the Friendship Pavilion now stands in the McGovern Centennial Gardens within Hermann Park. For generations, it has represented cultural connection and lasting friendship. Today, the Pavilion needs our care. Restoring it means more than renewing its appearance; it requires work from the inside out, along with the commitment of an entire community. With the City of Houston allocating funding for its renovation, now is the time to come together and help bring this shared vision to life. Our fundraising goal is $200,000. All proceeds from this event will support the Friendship Pavilion Restoration Initiative.Whether you attend, donate, or become a sponsor, your support will help preserve this landmark for future generations and write the next chapter of Houston-Taipei friendship. Houston-Taipei Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
