This year&rsquo;s conference welcomes distinguished keynote speaker Leslie Kraus, Artistic Director of the renowned Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, for a weekend of performance, learning, and community. Centered on the theme of dance literacy&mdash;the ability to read, create, perform, and respond to dance as an art form&mdash;the conference invites dance educators, college students, and high school dancers to deepen their craft alongside leading artists. Through keynote movement sessions, breakout workshops, and live performance, participants will explore how a shared language of movement can strengthen dance education across studios, schools, and stages throughout Idaho. Leslie Kraus brings a distinguished career spanning performance and academia. A former principal dancer and Assistant Director with the Kate Weare Company and a performer with the immersive theatre company Punchdrunk in Sleep No More (NYC) and The Drowned Man (UK), Kraus coordinated Oklahoma&#39;s FiveMoons Dance Festival and served as an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma before becoming Artistic Director of Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company in 2025. She holds an MFA from the University of Washington and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
