Attendees will learn how to do basic CNC operations and think like a machinist.&nbsp; This class will teach you how to use our CNC gantry router, generously supported by Onefinity, Torc Robotics, and other donors. We will design the CAM for a part in MillMage, and then machine the part out of wood. This is done as one group activity; class attendees will not machine their own part. If you intend on getting CNC trained as a Hacksburg member, this is a two part class. In this class (Part 1), you will be taught our basic CNC workflow. In Part 2, you will go through this workflow yourself with your own part, with a qualified instructor helping along the way. If you complete this and are comfortable running the machine yourself, you will be certified on the machine. No prior experience required&mdash;just curiosity and an interest in bringing your own projects within reach 🛠️. Cost: Free for members / $5 for non-membersAge requirement: Open to ages 13 and up.
