Introduction to Relief Woodcarving February 612PM - 3PM$50 (includes all materials and tools)Best for Adults &amp; TeensAll skill levels welcome Discover the satisfying art of relief woodcarving in this welcoming beginner-friendly workshop. Using simple carving tools and soft basswood, you'll learn basic carving techniques, tool safety, and how to create texture, depth, and design through carving. Guided by retired elementary teacher and carving instructor Kevin, you'll receive step-by-step instruction and individualized support as you transform a simple design into a handcrafted piece of wall art. The slow, hands-on process of carving offers a creative, screen-free experience that many people find both relaxing and rewarding. Returning students are welcome! Each class includes a new basswood board, so you can try a new design or continue working on a piece you started in a previous class.
