Online registration is officially open for our 4th–8th Grade wrestling program!

Program Overview:

• Grade Levels: Open to 4th through 8th Grade; all experience levels are welcome. (4th grade and up are considered Jr. High for tournament age groups, including the Jr. High State Tournament.)
• Room Division: We do not divide our Jr. High wrestlers into separate groups—beginners and experienced athletes practice alongside one another. We split the room internally during practice so beginners get fundamental instruction while experienced wrestlers stay challenged. Partnering is done intentionally by experience level so your wrestler is paired with someone who will push them, not overwhelm them.
• Culture: Wrestlers are expected to show up on time and participate fully. We work hard while having fun.
• Attendance & Tournaments: Practice and tournament participation are not strictly required. However, athletes will not develop and improve in the sport if they do not attend practice, and only practice without testing themselves in competition removes one of the most fun elements of the sport.
• Competitions: To attend Winter Folkstyle Season tournaments and duals, parents must plan to travel across the state. There are a handful of tournaments in South/Central Utah and many in Northern Utah. You can choose which tournaments you'd like to attend.
• A Note for Beginners: If your child is worried about starting late or being behind, don't be. Many great wrestlers didn't start stepping onto the mat until Jr. High. Success in this sport isn't determined by when you start—it comes down to hard work, self-dedication, and work ethic. If your child has any interest in trying wrestling, we would love the opportunity to coach them.

Gear Store:

An online gear store will be available to purchase extra shirts, singlets, fight shorts, warm-ups, and gear bags.

Late Registration Policy:

Late registrations will incur a $50 late fee and will not include a singlet. Late registrants must purchase a singlet separately through the online gear store, subject to availability.

Required Liability Waiver:

A liability waiver must be signed before any wrestler can begin practice. You may download and print the waiver from our website to bring on day one, or fill out a physical copy at the facility before the first practice begins.

Online registration is officially open for remaining spots in our K–3rd Grade wrestling program! Registration is strictly limited to 80 total wrestlers. All athletes (returning ICWA members, Bantam-experienced wrestlers, and beginners) register as one combined group and will be split up by experience and/or grade level. Practice schedules will depend on group placement and are subject to change.
