On Sunday, October 18, 2026, Savanna Rio Broderick and Tim Broderick will take on IRONMAN California in Sacramento. A 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. 140.6 miles, one day. They are calling it Rio & Tim Go the Distance, and they are doing it to raise $26,000 for a specific project: remodeling the bottom level of the Armed Forces Chaplaincy Respite Lodge at Lazy U Ranch into a climate controlled education and meeting room for the veterans and families who use it. This is a project sponsorship, not race registration and not a gift to SSAMF's general fund. Every dollar goes toward the lodge remodel. Sponsor at any level, whether it lines up with the swim, the bike, the run, or the full course.
