This special program is designed for educators, school staff, counselors, administrators, and anyone interested in better understanding the needs and experiences of Muslim students and their families. Dr. Muhammad N. Haq, Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Houston and Imam at ASIA Center, will present &quot;An Educator&#39;s Guide to Islam,&quot; offering practical insights into Islamic beliefs, cultural traditions, common misconceptions, and ways to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for Muslim students.Whether you work in education or simply want to learn more about your Muslim neighbors, this event provides a welcoming space to ask questions, engage in open dialogue, and build meaningful connections across our community. The lecture will be followed by a light dinner, giving attendees an opportunity to continue the conversation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is welcome. Modest dress is preferred, but no head covering is required. We look forward to meeting you and sharing an evening of education, friendship, and understanding.
