In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, join us for an evening of awareness, education, and hope as our community comes together to learn, reflect, and stand alongside survivors of domestic violence. The evening will feature a powerful documentary screening, survivor stories, and presentations from local agencies and organizations working together to support survivors and their families throughout Powhatan and our surrounding rural communities. Together, we&#39;ll explore the impact of domestic violence, highlight the progress our community has made, and discuss the work that still lies ahead. Domestic violence affects individuals, families, workplaces, schools, and our entire community. While we have made meaningful strides in strengthening services, building partnerships, and increasing support for survivors, we know there is still more to do. Lasting change requires an informed, compassionate community that recognizes the signs of abuse, understands the resources available, and is committed to creating a culture where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered. This event is an opportunity to learn how local organizations, law enforcement, healthcare providers, faith communities, advocates, and community members are working together to ensure that no survivor has to navigate the journey to healing alone. Whether you&#39;re a community member, business owner, faith leader, educator, healthcare professional, volunteer, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, your presence matters. Together, we can raise awareness, strengthen partnerships, inspire hope, and build a community where every survivor and every family has the opportunity to heal and thrive.
