ICYC provides an inclusive and complete choral experience for young singers through culturally diverse repertoire from varied traditions. Rehearsals include pedagogically appropriate musical activities with a commitment to excellence and cooperation. Each ensemble rehearses weekly and schedules performances throughout the community. In addition, all ensembles participate in two collaborative performances a year, and typically offers an all-chorus retreat in the fall and spring. <div>Intermezzo</div><div>In Intermezzo, singers in grades 3rd-5th build upon basic music skills with an emphasis on healthy singing, expression, rehearsal and performance technique, and movement, in a fun supportive environment. Singers are introduced to beginning part-singing while exploring repertoire from a variety of cultures and genres. This ensemble also introduces the student to the written musical score.  </div>
