We are inviting 20-25 students from grades 6-10 from Africatown or surrounding areas for a FREE Field Trip and Lunch at The International Maritime Museum of the Gulf (Mobile) on February 28, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Drop off from 9am-9:30 am Mobile County Training School Den, 800 Whitely. Others can meet us at the Museum at 9:50 am. Students can be dropped off with us at the museum and picked up between 1pm-1:30 pm.&nbsp; Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, self-sufficient and economically vibrant community in Africatown. Proceeds go to the reconstruction of the historic Russell House as an office, museum, gift shop, coffee shop and meeting place in Africatown.&nbsp; The JAMM Program of the Cleon Jones Last Out Community Foundation is sponsoring a FREE WORKSHOP, FIELD TRIP &amp; LUNCH at the International Maritime Museum of the Gulf Coast/Mobile. We are inviting 25 students grades 6-10 to participate in this great day of learning. Our mission is to empower our youth. It is also our purpose to introduce, teach, train and guide our youth to the great career opportunities the Maritime industry right here in Mobile. In conjunction with our goals for youth we teach conflict resolution, critical thinking skills, soft skills, personality trait development, academic enrichment, careers on the port, fitness/nutrition awareness and etiquette through activities and games.&nbsp; Tickets are $14 and lunch is $20 per student. We ask for donations to off-set costs for this and future workshops in 2026. &nbsp; By agreeing to receive this ticket for youth, parents or guardians.
