January’s Once Upon A Garden invites young nature lovers and their grown-ups into the Fred Heutte Garden for stories, hands-on learning, and simple crafts rooted in real garden life. We'll read two books on winter gardens and winter solstice and then make giant snowflakes! Guided by our mission of horticultural education and sustainable gardening, this free program helps children notice seasons in ways they can see, touch, and talk about. Register to share a relaxed morning of reading, exploring, and creating together in our volunteer-tended community garden.
