Welcome to the PTO! As a new member, here’s what you can look forward to and how you’ll be involved:

🧭 1. Orientation & Welcome Meeting

• New members are typically invited to an informal welcome.
• You'll meet current board members, learn about the PTO’s mission, goals, and past achievements, and get an overview of upcoming events.

🗓️ 2. Regular Meetings

• Expect to attend monthly
• Meetings are where updates are shared, ideas are discussed, and planning happens.
• All voices are welcome—your input matters!

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 3. Team Collaboration

• You’ll work alongside other parents, teachers, and staff to plan and support school programs, fundraisers, and events.
• Depending on your interests and availability, you might join a committee (e.g., fundraising, hospitality, communications).

💡 4. Opportunities to Get Involved

• Help volunteer at events like teacher appreciation week, family nights, or school spirit days.
• If you have special skills (graphic design, event planning, budgeting, social media), there are always ways to put them to good use!

🧾 5. Transparent Communication

• Stay informed via GroupMe, emails, newsletters, or PTO communication apps, ClassDojo.

🕒 6. Flexible Participation

• We recognize that your time is valuable, and we want you to feel comfortable contributing at a level that works for you. Whether you're able to take on a leadership role or just help occasionally, every bit of your involvement makes a meaningful impact.
• The great news? Participating in PTO activities is also a fantastic way to earn your 10 volunteer hours required by Jehovah Jireh. From helping at events, and aiding in fundraising there are plenty of flexible opportunities to get involved and make a difference—on your schedule.

• Your work helps fund classroom supplies, support teachers, enhance school programs, and build a sense of community.
• Most importantly, you’re showing your child and others the value of being involved.

Welcome back! We’re so grateful for your continued commitment to our school community. As a returning PTO member, your experience and leadership are incredibly valuable, and we’re excited to build on last year’s momentum together. Here’s what to expect moving forward:

• We’ll revisit our mission, evaluate what worked well last year, and introduce any updates to priorities or procedures.

• Returning members often serve as informal leaders or mentors to newer members.
• You may be asked to chair a committee, co-lead an event, or help orient incoming volunteers.
