Jefferson Berry & the UAC Record Release Party with special guests Matthew Gordon & Ryann Lynch Friday, November 6, 2026 The Royal Music & Arts Center Join us for the Jefferson Berry & the UAC Record Release Party, celebrating the latest release from Jefferson Berry & The Urban Acoustic Coalition. Jefferson Berry combines storytelling with the intricacies of jam-band and roots instrumentation, creating music that is thoughtful, groove-driven, and distinctly Philadelphia. His songs are brought to life by The Urban Acoustic Coalition, a collective of unique players anchored by the musicianship of Bud Burroughs and Dave Brown, with the locked-in bass and drums of Uncle Mike and Steve Lessick. While acoustic by nature, the UAC moves easily through roots, folk, rock, and jam-oriented sounds, blending strong songwriting with danceable grooves, spontaneous musical moments, and a contemporary point of view. With multiple albums released in recent years, the band’s reach continues to grow beyond the Philadelphia music scene. Jefferson’s lyrics are informed by a varied background that includes years in corporate media and more than a decade teaching African American History, Economics, and Government to Philadelphia high school students. His recent music videos also use AI as a creative visual tool, with several earning recognition at film festivals. SPECIAL GUESTS: MATTHEW GORDON & RYANN LYNCHMatthew Gordon brings drive and punch to an original blend of blues, funk, folk, and roots music. His melodic dobro playing, earnest vocals, and thoughtful lyrics move comfortably between full-band energy and intimate acoustic performances. Fiddle player and harmony vocalist Ryann Lynch joins Matthew, adding a rootsy, organic sound and tight vocal interplay to the duo. Expect a night of original music, storytelling, rootsy grooves, and plenty of musical exploration as Jefferson Berry & the UAC celebrate their newest release at The Royal.
