ALEX KOVACS

Acting Director of Aviation

COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT


"WHAT'S LANDING NEXT: THE FUTURE OF COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT (COS) & WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU"


Alex Kovacs serves as the Acting Director of Aviation at Colorado Springs Airport (COS). 

  • International Roots: Alex hails from Romania, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca. 

  • Dual Master's Degrees: He holds both an MBA and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University Nevada. 

  • Certified Airport Executive: Alex is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives and is currently pursuing the Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation. 

  • Extensive Aviation Experience: Before joining Colorado Springs Airport, Alex spent 16 years at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, where he most recently served as the Director of Finance, overseeing Accounting, Budget, Finance, and Risk Management. 

  • Leadership at COS: As Acting Director of Aviation at Colorado Springs Airport, Alex leads the Finance, Properties, and Design and Construction teams, focusing on enhancing airport operations and services. 

  • Quote:  Kovacs has expressed enthusiasm for leading the COS team, stating, "Together, we will continue to serve our community by providing the best value to the traveling public and increasing nonstop air service to Colorado Springs".


TRI-LAKES WOMEN'S CLUB COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM

Tri-Lakes Women's Club focuses on making the greatest impact through volunteer service and grants given to other non-profits, public schools and public service organizations in the Tri-Lakes Community.  Our women's club provides the vehicle for us to raise funds and ensure solutions that make a long-lasting difference to those in need. Since 1973, TLWC has donated over $1,000,000 to non-profit, public service and public educational programs in the Tri-Lakes area. Thank you for supporting our mission; your support is invaluable.
