Through these authentic voices, the performance invites audiences to connect with experiences that are deeply personal yet universally human. At the heart of this project is a belief that stories about marginalized communities should be told by the people who live them whenever possible. Too often, narratives about trans people are shaped by those outside the community simply because they are more visible, convenient, or accessible to producers. This project intentionally centers trans voices themselves&mdash;honoring lived experience, agency, and authenticity by ensuring the people most impacted by these stories are the ones sharing them.
