Welcome to Kāhili Paʻa Lima, a workshop that honors the ancestral artistry of our kūpuna while embracing accessible modern materials for today&rsquo;s practitioner. A kāhili is a cherished feather standard symbolizing royalty, and paʻa lima&mdash;&ldquo;held in the hand&rdquo;&mdash;reflects the intimate, personal nature of this smaller chiefly emblem. Traditionally carried by aliʻi, especially noblewomen, the kāhili paʻa lima signifies presence, lineage, and the quiet strength of one&rsquo;s mana. In this hands-on experience, participants will prepare feathers, bundle them using traditional geometry, lash them to a central core, and assemble a complete piece of living history.&nbsp; Donations are welcome and help sustain the cultural programs and scholarships of Mokuʻāina A Wakinekona Hawaiian Civic Club.
