Kicking Out Transphobia (KOT) is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and anti-oppression environment for everyone participating in our events.

By registering for and participating in a KOT event, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to follow this Community Agreement.

1. Anti-Oppression & Zero Tolerance

KOT does not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or aggressive behavior.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Transphobia
• Homophobia
• Racism
• Xenophobia
• Sexism
• Ableism
• Ageism
• Fatphobia
• Antisemitism
• Islamophobia
• Discrimination based on gender identity or expression
• Discrimination based on sexual orientation
• Any other form of discrimination or oppression

Violations may result in immediate removal from the event and/or a ban from future KOT activities.

2. Respect & Sportsmanship

I agree to treat all players, referees, coaches, volunteers, organizers, spectators, and community members with respect.

I understand that participants have different identities, experiences, abilities, and levels of athletic experience.

I agree to:

• Practice good sportsmanship.
• Encourage rather than demean others.
• Respect referees and tournament decisions.
• Communicate respectfully on and off the field.
• Avoid bullying, intimidation, or threatening behavior.
  3. Pronouns & Gender Respect

I agree to respect each person’s name, pronouns, gender identity, and gender expression.

If I make a mistake with someone’s pronouns, I will correct myself and move forward respectfully without making the situation about myself.

4. Allyship & Participation

Allies are welcome at KOT events. Participants are expected to be mindful of the purpose of our spaces and respectful of the experiences of trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people.

Everyone is encouraged to reflect on their own biases and privileges and help create space for others to participate fully.

5. Privacy, Photography & Recording

I agree to respect the privacy of other participants.

I will not photograph, record, livestream, or share identifiable information about another participant without their consent.

KOT may establish designated areas or activities where photography or recording is permitted. Participants are expected to follow event-specific instructions regarding photography and media.
6. Communication & Digital Spaces

I agree to keep communication in KOT-related team spaces, chats, and digital platforms respectful and relevant to the event.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, unsolicited advertisements, spam, or disruptive behavior are not permitted.

7. Reporting & Accountability

If I experience or witness discrimination, harassment, bullying, or other behavior that violates this agreement, I am encouraged to report it to KOT event organizers or tournament staff as soon as possible.

KOT will take reports seriously and review concerns as appropriate.

Participants who violate this agreement may be subject to disciplinary action, including removal from the event and/or restriction or ban from future KOT activities.
8. Participant Responsibility

By participating, I agree to:

• Respect the identities and experiences of others.
• Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Follow tournament rules and instructions from event staff.
• Speak up or seek help when I witness harmful behavior.
• Take responsibility for my own conduct.

Acknowledgment & Agreement

By completing this registration, I confirm that:

☐ I have read and agree to follow the KOT Community Agreement.

☐ I understand that violations may result in removal from the event and/or a ban from future KOT activities.

☐ I agree to respect the privacy, identities, boundaries, and dignity of other participants.

☐ I understand that KOT reserves the right to take appropriate action when this agreement is violated.

By registering for this event, I voluntarily agree to these terms and understand that participation in KOT activities is conditional upon following this Community Agreement.
