About this event
This Kid’s Nature Sensory Class (Recommended Ages 7-13) is about how invasive plants and insects can alter ecological balance with some funky results. We'll learn about how honey bees make a wild new honeydew honey because of the spotted lanternfly invasion. We'll also taste some honeys from other invasive sources.
Eliane Silver Liberati will teach us about the basics of sourdough bread making and we'll be snacking on sourdough pizza!
The Nectar Protector Kid’s classes are sponsored by the generous support of The Pittsburgh Foundation. If a full scholarship is needed, please reach out to [email protected] for booking.
