Join the Kentucky Society of Addiction Medicine for its 2026 Fall Conference, a one-day educational program addressing timely clinical and public health issues affecting the treatment of substance use disorders. This year&rsquo;s program will explore the rapidly changing illicit drug supply, including nitazenes and xylazine; nicotine and cannabis use among patients treated for opioid and stimulant use disorders; practical approaches to craving, shame, and return to use; and the potential impact of federal policy changes on overdose deaths and healthcare costs. Attendees will also hear clinical updates on hepatitis C treatment and PrEP, emerging approaches to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), and new research comparing extended-release and sublingual buprenorphine during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Designed for physicians and other professionals involved in addiction treatment, the conference offers an opportunity to learn from experts, examine evolving evidence and treatment strategies, and connect with colleagues committed to improving outcomes for individuals affected by substance use disorders.
