The Lawrence Civic Choir, a non-profit arts organization formed in 1975, welcomes area singers who love to perform serious, four-part choral music under professional direction. There are no formal auditions, but singers must be able to read music and sing tunefully. December&rsquo;s concert will feature challenging yet accessible pieces that will satisfy your desire to perform fine choral music. The performance will include Vivaldi&#39;s Gloria&nbsp;with orchestral accompaniment, collaboration with the Lawrence Community Handbell Choir, and other seasonal choral classics under the direction of Steve Eubank. REHEARSALS Mondays, 7&ndash;9:00 p.m., beginning August 24 First Baptist Church | 1330 Kasold Dr., Lawrence&nbsp; CONCERTSaturday, December 12, 2026, 7:30 p.m.First United Methodist Church &nbsp;| 946 Vermont St., Lawrence&nbsp; REGISTRATION Begins Aug. 24 and remains open through Sept. 14 (no registration or rehearsal on Labor Day). Please arrive 6&ndash;6:45 p.m. to complete registration and obtain sheet music.
